Megasport Arena

Megasport Arena (formerly, Khodynka Arena or Ice Sport Palace on the Khodynka Field, Russian: Ледовый дворец спорта на Ходынском поле Translite Ledovy dvorets sporta na Khodynskom polye) is a multi-purpose arena in Moscow, Russia. The arena has a maximum capacity of 13,926 people.

It is situated in the Khodynka Field and was completed in December 2006.

It was one of the arenas to host the 2007 Men’s World Ice Hockey Championships.

It also was the home of the Sultan Ibragimov vs. Evander Holyfield World Heavyweight Title Fight on October 13, 2007.

On 23 January 2008, CSKA Moscow hosted a Euroleague Regular season game against TAU Cerámica in the arena, in front of a near sellout 13,000 attendance crowd.

In November 2008, the Cup of Russia figure skating competition was held there.

Another important event hosted at the arena was the 2006-07 CEV Champions League Final four, in which Tours VB won the title after defeating VfB Friedrichshafen.

This arena was rumored to be the venue for the 54th Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, but instead the competition was held at theOlympic Indoor Arena in Moscow.

On March 24, 2011, the International Skating Union (ISU) relocated the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships to the Megasport Arena in Moscow.[This decision followed the cancellation of the championships in Tokyo, Japan due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The championships was staged from April 24 – May 1, 2011.

The 2011 European Curling Championships was hosted at the arena in December 2011.

Ice Palace

Ice Palace (Russian: Ледовый Дворец, Ledovy Dvorets) is an arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was built for the 2000 IIHF World Championship and opened in 2000. It holds 12,300 people.

Ice Palace is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home arena for SKA St. Petersburg. It hosted the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. It is also used for concerts, exhibitions and as a skating rink.

American superstar Cher performed during her marathon Living Proof: The Farewell Tour on June 24, 2004.

Sting performed during his Symphonicities Tour on September 13, 2010, along with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jennifer Lopez took her first world tour Dance Again World Tour on November 8, 2012.

Placebo will be performing on July 7, 2014 on their Loud Like Love Tour.
