One interesting historical detail. During the Second World War, when german troops had firing the city, one side of the Nevsky was very dangerous. Even now, you can see marks of the splinters on the walls of some buildings. Moreover, old inscription saved from that time: «Citizens! During shelling this side of the street is the most dangerous! »
